Introduction to Ceramics Course | دورة تمهيدية في الخزف

تقدم هذه الدورة المكثفة التي تمتد لثلاثة أيام مقدمة شاملة لفن صناعة الخزف على العجلة، و تُرشد المشاركين خلال جميع مراحل عملية صناعة الخزف.

اليوم الأول
أساسيات الطين والعجلة:
يكتسب المتدربون فهماً لخصائص الطين، ويتعلمون تقنيات التحضير والعجن بشكل صحيح. تشمل الجلسات العملية على العجلة تعلم التركيز، وفتح الطين، وسحب الجدران. بنهاية اليوم، سيكون كل متدرب قد صنع عدة أشكال، تُترك جانبًا لتجف حتى تصل إلى مرحلة التجلد، ثم تُشذب.

اليوم الثاني
تحسين الأشكال والتدريب على العجلة:
ينتقل التركيز إلى تحسين الأشكال عن طريق تشذيب القطع على عجلة الخزف وتشكيلها وإنهائها، مع تحسين المهارة والثقة. سيواصل المشاركون أيضًا التدرب على العجلة لتعزيز التقنيات الأساسية.

اليوم الثالث
تصميم الأسطح والتزجيج:
استكشاف تصميم الأسطح باستخدام مجموعة متنوعة من أدوات النقش والملمس لإضفاء عمق وشخصية على القطع. سيقوم المشاركون بتجربة نحت الأشكال والقوام، وإضافة المقابض أو العناصر الزخرفية، وإضافة اللون باستخدام ألوان تحت التزجيج محولين أشكال الطين الخام إلى قطع خزفية نهائية.

بعد إنتهاء الدورة سيتم تجفيف جميع القطع، وحرقها، وتزجيجها بطلاء شفاف وحرقها مرة أخرى لتصبح جاهزة للاستلام.

This intensive three-day course offers a
comprehensive introduction to wheel-thrown pottery, guiding participants through the full spectrum of the ceramic process. 

Day 1
Clay & Wheel Fundamentals:
Focuses on understanding clay—its qualities, preparation, and potential. Participants will learn wedging techniques before moving to the wheel to practice centering, opening, and pulling walls, creating several forms to be set aside to dry to a leather-hard stage.

Day 2
Refinement & Practice:
Focuses on refining technique through trimming leather-hard pieces on the wheel, shaping and finishing forms while improving both skill and confidence. Participants will also continue throwing practice, reinforcing foundational techniques and experimenting with new forms.

Day 3
Surface Design & Glaze:
Explores surface design on unfired clay. Participants will experiment with carving shapes and textures, attaching handles or decorative elements, and adding color using underglaze to personalize their work.

After the course, all pieces will be dried, bisque fired, dipped in a clear glaze, and fired again before being ready for collection.
